On June 28, CNA Abruzzo hosted the LIBECCIO Info Day at Villa Fania in Ortona, welcoming approximately 80 entrepreneurs and introducing the Project.

During the event, key stakeholders of the tourism sector were interviewed, covering topics such as:
• The types of tourists frequenting the region.
• What decision-makers can do to improve the tourism industry.
• The impact of digital tools on tourism growth.

The discussions placed particular emphasis on sustainable tourism, encouraging the involvement of local communities by supporting local businesses, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting eco-friendly practices. Additionally, there was a strong focus on reducing the environmental impact of tourism by promoting energy conservation, reducing waste, and using clean transport.

The event also highlighted the growing popularity of coastal tourism along the Trabocchi Coast, as well as increased interest in mountain tourism, with post-pandemic growth in excursions to the region’s historical villages. Attendees agreed that improving infrastructure and integrating digital tools would enhance the tourist experience.

The LIBECCIO Info Day fostered meaningful networking among small and medium-sized enterprises, along with public bodies and tourism-related businesses, paving the way for further collaboration on sustainable tourism in Abruzzo.
