The first Libeccio Info day in Bosnia Herzegovina was held on December 17th 2024 at the Administration center of the city of East Sarajevo. A day that served to explain the project to the various key stakeholders of the local tourism sector and where the EUROMed Tourism Innovation Platform (ETIP) was presented. The event was Organised by the City Development Agency East Sarajevo – RAIS, project partner from Bosnia Herzegovina. The event gathered 24 participants in total from 13 institutions, representating the local QHelix community, such as municipalities, academic community, business support organizations, destination management companies, NGOs and sectorial agencies.
After a presentation of the ETIP and DMSS by the RAIS project coordinator Adrijana Rac, the participants started the discussion. It was also emphasized that providing an upgraded DMSS is necessary for improving the tourism sector in East Sarajevo, especially in destination management. Representatives of the Association of Hoteliers Jahorina mentioned the problems in providing data, especially from SMEs dealing with accommodation, and some representatives of the Economy Faculty of East Sarajevo offered some solutions from another EU project. All participants expressed their interest in becoming a member of ETIP and being actively involved in DMSS data collection.
