Info days in Emilia-Romagna (Italy)

02/04/2025

To present the LIBECCIO project to coastal tourism operators and to actively involve them in its implementation, APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, in charge of and in collaboration with the Emilia-Romagna region, organized a public Info Day divided into two identical sessions held on the same day, March 31st, in two key tourism hubs of the Riviera Romagnola: Cesenatico and Rimini.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness about the project’s objectives, tools, and innovative governance strategies, while opening a dialogue with local stakeholders. The focus was on introducing the Destination Management Support System (DMSS) and gathering feedback from actors within the tourism value chain, in line with the quadruple helix approach.

Speakers:

  • Maura Mingozzi, Emilia-Romagna Region – Presentation of LIBECCIO and the DMSS platform
  • Dr. Christian Baumgartner – Overview of sustainable tourism at EU level
  • Florian Größwang – Introduction to the RESY-Dashboard and the role of digitalization in destination management
  • Alessia Mariotti and Renato Medei, Center for Advanced Studies in Tourism (CAST) of the University of Bologna – Between info days and living labs: present and future of Libeccio actions

The two identical sessions included keynote presentations followed by an open dialogue segment with participants.
Coffee break and light lunch were offered during respective sessions to encourage informal exchange.
