This Tuesday, October 1, the head of the Tourism service, Jordi Garreta, welcomed the participants to the official meeting of the LIBECCIO European project, that was held in Terrassa on October 1st and 2nd. The welcome event, which took place at 9 a.m. at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Terrassa, was also attended by the president of the Chamber, Ramón Talamàs, Maura Mingozzi, coordinator of the LIBECCIO project, Axel Rodriguez, Interreg Euro-MED project officer and Josep Rodríguez, representative of the Provincial Council of Barcelona, Lead Partner of the Community for Tourism Project.
During the meeting, the Sustainable Tourism Mission, aiming to promote tourism strategies that reduce environmental impact, increase social inclusion and boost local economies, was presented. The meeting was attended by representatives of all Project Partners.
Apart from the planned work sessions, the participants had the opportunity to get to know Terrassa through a walking tour for the main elements of industrial and modernist heritage.
The interventions were in English and Catalan.
